Where does pollution come from?
Pollution in Utah comes from three main sources:
| Area: industrial sources like coal fired power plants, mining activities, and manufacturing |  |
| Mobile: cars, trucks, buses, trains, agricultural and construction equipment |  |
| Point: small commercial businesses like gas stations and dry cleaners |  |
While there are several different kinds of important pollutants, there are two main pollutants in Utah whose affect on human health is a concern to us—particulate matter and ozone.
