Asthma Care Pharmacies
Pharmacists participating on the Utah Asthma Task Force presented the idea of implementing expanded asthma education at the pharmacy to help patients understand and manage asthma better. The Task Force decided that this project would utilize pharmacists and their skills and knowledge and allow patients to access additional resources.
As the group met with partners there was a tremendous interest in the project from pharmacists, physicians, health plans, and local Universities. These partners have been developing curriculum, identifying pilot pharmacies, developing the information and education that the pharmacist will provide for the patient.
The Asthma Care Pharmacies are looking for participants. If you or someone you know could benefit from this program contact one of the participating pharmacies.
Mission
