AIDS DRUG ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM (ADAP)
The CARE Act is intended to help communities and states make it easier for those affected by HIV to get health care and supportive services. The Treatment and Care Program also offers insurance assistance and supportive services. For more information about this program, please call (801) 538-6197.
The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) can help you pay for all or part of your HIV medications if you meet the program requirements.
*REQUIREMENTS FOR ADAP PROGRAM*
• You must have HIV/AIDS
• Your income must be low
• You must be below a certain asset level (you can own a car and a home)
• You cannot be on Medicaid or have any other public or private health insurance
• You must live in Utah.
ADAP PRIVATE INSURANCE
CO-PAY PROGRAM (APICP)
The ADAP Private Insurance Co-pay Program can pay your co-pays for HIV-medications if you have private health insurance, but can’t afford to pay for them yourself.

• You must have HIV/AIDS
• Your income must be low
• You must be below a certain asset level (you can own a car and a home)
• You cannot be on Medicaid
• You must live in Utah.
