If you have questions about whether your Social Security was number stolen, or any other concerns regarding the data breach, call the Ombudsman.

Please note, scammers may try to get you to reveal personal information over the phone, by text message or e-mail.  Do not give your personal information to anyone unless you have initiated the contact.

We're taking every action we can to provide a higher level of assistance to those affected by the data breach. One major step was Utah Governor Gary Herbert's appointment of Sheila Walsh-McDonald as the state's Data Security Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman and her staff will work directly with you as they focus on:

  • Individual case management
  • Referral to credit and identity theft counseling
  • Community outreach
