The Utah Health Disparities Summaries series was created by the Center for Multicultural Health and other programs of the Utah Department of Health to help community members and health workers:

• Raise awareness of health issues among racial and ethnic minorities in Utah,
• Plan health programs specific to racial and ethnic minorities,
• Obtain grant funding for organizations serving racial and ethnic minorities, and
• Eliminate racial health disparities.

Each short report compares health indicators of a specific minority population to all Utahns and state and national targets for the year 2010. The reports also include demographic information for context.
