Since 2008, Utah has been collecting HAI reportable data from Utah's licensed hospitals. All hospitals are required to report on their healthcare worker influenza vaccination rates, and only those hospitals with Intensive Care Units (ICU) are required to report on central line associated blood stream infection data (CLABSI).

Utah hospitals have been reporting into a secure, UDOH developed web site for healthcare worker influenza vaccination rates and CLABSI. Beginning in 2011, Utah hospitals with an ICU will be required to report to the National Healthcare Safety Network's (NHSN) secure reporting site.
