FEE
FOR SERVICE COVERAGE
The
Utah Medicaid Provider Agreement, the Utah Medicaid Provider
Manual, and Medicaid Information Bulletins advise providers
as to scope of service, policies, procedures and processes
in the Utah Medicaid Program for 'fee-for-service' Medicaid
clients. A fee-for-service Medicaid client is defined
as either of the following: (1) a client who is
not enrolled in a Managed Care Plan (MCP); or (2) a
client who is enrolled in a MCP, but the service that is
needed is covered by Medicaid, not by the plan.
Most
Utah Medicaid recipients receive health care through a MCP
and/or a Prepaid Mental Health Plan (PMHP). For more
information about Utah's managed care plans for Medicaid
clients, go to
managed care plan.
