Urgent care is when your problem is serious, but you could wait one day to see your doctor (such as when you are sick or have an accident).
Urgent care problems usually don't cause permanent harm or death. For urgent care, call your doctor. You may be able to see the doctor that same day. Many urgent care facilities are open extended hours and weekends to see patients without an appointment.
