What Are We Doing?
The Violence and Injury Prevention Program works to reduce pedestrian
injuries by participating with community partners in a variety of prevention
activities, including: Operation Crosswalk Enforcement Campaigns, Safe Routes to School, Walking School Buses, Green Ribbon Month in September, and; Walk to School Day in
October.
In addition, VIPP has partnered with other child advocacy agencies like Primary Children's Medical Center in a pedestrian awareness campaign called Spot the Tot. The Spot the Tot campaign urges drivers to look around vehicles before pulling out of a garage, driveway or parking space.
