The Utah Council for Worksite Health Promotion (UCWHP) is a collaboration between the Utah Department of Health and volunteers from private and public businesses throughout the state, which strives to:
- Work cooperatively with businesses, government agencies, and organizations to encourage and assist them in providing health promotion programs to employees.
- Disseminate scientific facts and principles in a form which the public easily understands and which enables business managers to develop worksite health promotion programs promoting desirable health attitudes and behaviors.
- Develop systems of recognition and reward, which motivate organizations and individuals to pursue optimal health.
- Be a strong advocate for the good health of all citizens of the State of Utah.
- Be a clearinghouse for resources, programs and information on worksite health promotion.
